THE CANNONDALE SLATE APEX 1 REVIEW
The Cannondale slate apex 1 bike is a specialized built bike for all types of terrains. The bike possesses a great feature which is endurance geometry which enables it to keep at its pace at any duration of use. The Cannondale slate bike is amazingly built and evenly steady at great speed
It possesses massive 42cb tires on 650b wheels. This gives the same roll-out diameter as a 700x23c wheel for proper road bike speed, but with extra cornering grip, traction and comfort. Cannondale has equaled the big tires with splendid short chainstays at the back with a slack head angle and an extended front center. This makes the bike swift to accelerate but also keeps it stable off the road. The Slate comes with a custom Lefty Oliver fork with 30mm of travel and incorporates save micro-suspension into the frame to soak up the bumps making endurance and handling easier to grapple with.
THE LIGHTWEIGHT SMARTFORM C1 ALUMINIUM FRAME
This feature on the Cannondale has always made cutting edge aluminum frames. It comes with many of the design properties of the alloy CAAD12 road frame, including curved and flattened SAVE Plus sections in the stays to absorb vibration. The suspension fork coupled with the high-volume tires smoothens out the ride and makes it faster and more comfortable to ride on bumpy paths. The C1 aluminum frame allows for a lightweight yet sturdy bicycle that can defy the odds in the department of wear and tear.
Also supporting it is the Cannondale Lefty Oliver forks that hold its own to keep wheels and other components steady as the rider handles the bike.
SRAM APEX 1X11 SPEED SHIFTERS AND HYDRAULIC SHIMANO R685 DISK BRAKES
The Hydraulic Shimano R685 disk brakes offer undisputed braking performance in all weather conditions and rugged terrain. The extra brake pad clearance from the rotor, when compared to SRAM hydro brakes for example, dramatically reduces the disc brake rub associated with muddy or gritty conditions to assure the rider a certified and organized brake system.
The Cannondale slate comes equipped with the 11-speed Apex 1X shifter that allows for an easy change in speed and seamless movement. Also imbued into it is a matching Sram Apex 1 HRD set of brakes that ensure an abrupt halt at whatever speed the biker is going without skidding.
