Trek Domane AL 3 2018 Review
The Trek Domane AL 3 is a powerful road bike for enthusiastic and professional cyclists alike. It is an affordable, comfortable bike constructed from aluminum for an enjoyable biking ride. The combination of the lightweight frame, the carbonized fork, and Shimano brake lever system make it a bike for cycling on any terrain. The parts are of high quality, enabling bike riders to take on lengthy rides alone or in groups.
The body frame of the Domane AL 3 is made from lightweight aluminum, which makes the bike move very fast and responsive when taking on those winding curves. It also enables the rider to perform at maximum levels. Integrated into the frame is a rack mount that allows the rider to easily carry personal belongings and accessories. The handgrips are ergonomically designed to give a biker more stability during rides.
IsoSpeed Fork set
The unique shape of the fork set of this endurance bike makes it able for the rider to engage in smoother riding regardless of the terrain. This dropout feature of the fork prevails in cases where the rider has to absorb terrain shocks. The fork set in itself is uniquely located close to the wheel, which enables for optimal use of the wheelbase by the biker to make faster, smoother rides.
Endurance geometry construction
The bike is designed in accordance with the standards expected of an endurance bike. This enables the rider to perform at optimum levels and maintain body balance whilst cycling. In other words, the bike rider is assured of three aspects with this endurance bike: optimal control of the bike, smooth bike handling, and great responsiveness due to the even distribution of body weight. In general, maximum comfort during long rides.
Shimano gear system
This road bike comes with an 18 speed Shimano Sora shift lever system. Though not up to the standard of the expensive bike class, it is up to the standard required of a typical endurance bike. The brake pads are above average but still garner enough stopping force when required. Added to this feature is the Bontrager tires, which enable stability and are designed to last for a long time.
