TREK PROCALIBER 9.7 2020 [REVIEW]
Trek Procaliber 9.7 is a high-quality, hardtail mountain bike that comes with an OCLV carbon frame, RockShox Reba RL fork, SRAM NX Eagle drivetrain, IsoSpeed decoupler, and many more exclusive features. The bike is known for its fast wheels (tubeless-ready carbon wheels), tough tires that can do well on dry and muddy grounds. In addition, it is a comfortable bike designed to climb hills, run over rocks, or bumps smoothly and it very efficient for any race.
OCLV Mountain Carbon Frame
One of the interesting features of Procaliber 9.7 is its frame. As a mountain bike, this is the best frame for the Procaliber 9.7. This frame contributes to the lightweight of the bike, which, in turn, increases bike performance. Though the frame is light, it is very tough and durable because of its mountain carbon fiber. The frame also features the IsoSpeed decoupler, internal derailleur routing, and the post mount brake. The internal derailleur routing helps to improve the look of the bike, with all the cables running neatly and smoothly over the frame.
Bontrager Carbon Kovee Elite Wheelset
Trek Procaliber 9.7 has carbon wheels that improve the bike’s speed and durability. The carbon wheels are stiff, providing a more stable and powerful ride. Also, the wheels are suitable for narrow tires, and they increase the overall ride quality of the bike. Apart from these, Bontrager carbon wheels come with a loyalty program, and this makes it possible for you to change your wheels if they get spoilt within two years of purchase.
This feature improves the ride quality of this bike. The IsoSpeed decoupler allows the seat tube to move freely without the help or assistance of the top tube, thereby, increasing vertical compliance. The IsoSpeed decoupler does not change the normal frameset geometry; it only decouples the seat tube from the top tube, which in turn, reduces the effects of rough or bumpy roads on the rider and offers a smoother ride.
